Use a Bamboo Toothbrush

Plastic toothbrushes have turned up on beaches all over the world and have become synonomous with plastic pollution. You can make an easy switch from plastic to bamboo, and immediately remove an item of single-use plastic from your bathroom

The American Dental Association suggests toothbrushes be replaced every four months. At that rate, Americans in the US would use over one billion toothbrushes each year.

  • Equivalent price to a plastic version
  • Bamboo handle will eventually break down with no artificial byproducts
  • Brush with Bamboo's bristles are USDA Certified 100% Biobased, which means they contain 0% fossil fuels.

  • Dentists often recommend electric toothbrushes (you can buy recyclable or bamboo heads for these!)

Making a difference

There are a number of options to choose from when it comes to bamboo toothbrushes, and it's encouraging to see major players like Colgate launching brushes at the end of 2019.
